About EthicOps
We believe privacy is a prerequisite for performance. EthicOps builds practical security tools that make Windows faster, quieter, and safer—without telemetry, upsell traps, or mystery processes. Our flagship app, Kairos, applies safe, reversible system profiles (Performance / Privacy / Balanced) and network hygiene (DNS tools, optional firewall presets) to reduce noise, tighten risk, and give users control.
What we’re building right now
- Kairos (Consumer) — signed binaries, offline mode, one-click rollback, and local-only logs.
- Kairos (Business, in development) — policy-based profiles for fleets, MSI packaging, RBAC, signed/attested logs, and optional integrations with network gateways (e.g., pfSense).
- Clear documentation & updates — comparison tables, transparent changelogs, and straightforward legal pages (no dark patterns).
How we earn trust
- No spyware. No telemetry. Optional crash logs only if you opt in.
- Signed builds you can verify.
- Reversible changes with restore points and safe defaults.
- Plain-English policies, published in public.
- Community accountability through our nonprofit partner, the Human Privacy Rights Alliance (HPRA), focused on infrastructure transparency and digital rights education.
Our story
EthicOps started as a practical response to noisy, over-promising “optimizer” tools. We’re engineers and advocates who prefer measurable improvements, clear disclosures, and respectful software. We build in public, ship iteratively, and refine with real-world feedback.
Entrepreneurship, the way we see it
True entrepreneurship is service. We ship useful tools, accept critique, and reinvest in user safety. When we get something wrong, we say so and fix it. When we do it right, it’s boring—in the safest possible way.
